Who operates NextLift

NextLift is operated by Jordan Moffitt under the business name NextLift (“NextLift,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Privacy questions and requests can be sent to admin@baconandbarbells.co.

Information you choose to add

NextLift lets you record workouts, exercises, sets, perceived effort, meals and drinks, nutrition, supplements, body weight, goals, profile preferences, wellness check-ins and progress photos. In the current version, this information is stored locally on your device unless you deliberately export it, share it or use a feature that requires an external service as described below.

NextLift does not require a NextLift account. Optional sharing tools create images or exports and share them only after you choose a destination through Apple's sharing interface.

Apple Health

With your permission, NextLift can read selected information from Apple Health to provide steps, sleep, heart-rate, heart-rate-variability, respiratory-rate, recovery and readiness context. NextLift can also save completed workouts to Apple Health.

Apple Health access is optional and controlled in iOS Settings and the Health app. NextLift does not use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing profiles, sale to data brokers or decisions unrelated to providing health and fitness features.

Food search and barcode lookup

When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the search text or barcode is sent to NextLift's food-search service hosted using Cloudflare and may be sent to nutrition-data providers such as FatSecret or Open Food Facts to return matching results. Ordinary network information, such as an IP address and request diagnostics, may also be processed to deliver and secure the request. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into food-search fields.

NextLift does not use food searches for advertising or to create a marketing profile. Service providers may retain operational or security logs according to their own policies. Their practices are described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy, FatSecret Privacy Policy and Open Food Facts privacy information. Contact us if you have a question or deletion request concerning a food-search request.

Photos, camera, microphone and speech recognition

If you grant permission, NextLift can use the camera to scan a food barcode or capture an image for sharing; let you select progress photos or screenshots from your photo library; and use the microphone and Apple's speech-recognition service when you choose meal dictation.

These features are optional. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Speech recognition may be processed on your device or through Apple services depending on your device, language and system configuration. Apple's handling is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, NextLift can schedule reminders and positive streak messages. You can change notification settings in NextLift or iOS Settings.

Problem reports and support

When you choose Report a Problem, NextLift prepares an email containing your report and privacy-safe technical details such as app version, device type and system version. Private health, nutrition, notes, photos and workout records are not automatically included. A screenshot is included only if you select one. Your email provider and ours process the message to deliver and answer your request.

Purchases

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Apple processes payment and account information under its policies. NextLift receives purchase status and transaction information needed to provide or restore access; NextLift does not receive your full payment-card number.

How we use information

We use information only to provide requested features; calculate training, nutrition, recovery and progress guidance; return food-search and barcode results; provide support; verify subscription access; maintain security; prevent abuse; and comply with law.

NextLift does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising or behavioral advertising SDKs in the current version.

Retention and deletion

Information stored locally remains under your control. You can delete records inside NextLift and create a complete backup export. Deleting the app removes information in the app's local container, subject to Apple's platform behavior, but does not remove copies you exported or shared or information written to Apple Health. Those copies must be managed where they are stored.

Support communications are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain appropriate business records, protect the service or comply with law. You may request deletion by email. Operational logs created by hosting, email or food-data providers are governed by their applicable retention practices.

Your choices and requests

You can decline optional permissions and still use features that do not require them. You can revoke permissions in iOS Settings, manage Apple Health access in the Health app, manage subscriptions through Apple, delete records inside NextLift and export a complete NextLift backup.

To ask a privacy question or request access, correction or deletion of information held by us, email admin@baconandbarbells.co. We may need to verify your request. Information stored only on your device cannot be retrieved or deleted remotely by us.

Children

NextLift is intended for people aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without authorization required by law.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States and other countries where they operate, subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.

Changes

We may update this policy when NextLift's features or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
